Sonya Walker is a woman full of purpose who is very passionate about empowering women to love themselves. Sonya has been in the beauty industry for 23 years as a hair, makeup, and fashion stylist. Sonya was called into ministry in 1995 and has since ministered to countless of women that you are beautiful, worthy, and the BOMB! Sonya has become the leading source on embracing holistic beauty — from the inside out.
I have always loved the complete image from head to toe. I have had countless clients who were beautiful outwardly, yet their inner beauty or how they saw themselves was completely opposite. Throughout my career I seen God transition my love for beautifying women outwardly to helping them develop their beauty inwardly. When God gave me the vision to open Essance Salon, I found myself ministering to women one by one. I then realized that God had more in store for me. Shortly, there after I would begin receiving invitations to come and speak at Women's Conferences as their main speaker, I was invited to do workshops on beauty. Through this process I begin studying the word of God that would not only empower to change the perception of how a woman see herself.
I didn't understand why people would say to me after I ministered that the next day the women would come back with their heels, makeup, and dressed up and feeling great about themselves. Then, I realized that God was changing their perception of themselves through His word. I believe that the greatest gift that you can give yourself is LOVE!
