Dare to Dream!
I was recently praying about the direction for Essance. I begin to think about the many changes and transformations that my visions and dreams had taken wondering will it work, or how will it work. For years I have had many visions. plans, and ideas concerning my dreams. I thought that I had to put down one to pick up the other but they were seasons of learning what to do and what not to do. I realized that all of them were connected like a puzzle that was being put together. Like many of you, you may have many ideas but don't know how to bring them together. I have walked through my dreams with desires and with dismay. What do you mean Sonya? As I walked out my dreams I lost things, people, had to stop and start over but the one thing that remained was my desire to dare to dream! I couldn't shake it! So at the age of 41, I decided it had to be ALL or NOTHING. It was time that I stood on God's promise and lay hands on myself and tell myself you can do all things through Christ who strengthens me and that He is going to make all things work together (your dreams) for my good.

Here lately people have been contacting me and asking me questions about how to launch their visions and dreams. If you are like me you are already living in your dreams. What do you mean Sonya? Well for years I have done photo shoots, worked on sets of celebrities, help build companies, and I did many things for people for free! So, as I prayed about the direction of Essance, I realized that I had been giving away my talents. That I had been casting my pearls before swine. I didn't realize that I had something that was worth value but I had allowed my love for my gifts to be given to people who didn't want to pay for it! Have you ever done that? You keep helping others with their dreams and visions but you neglected the desires that lies within you! I asked myself the question, 'Sonya you must have something that is really valuable, because people want your gifts but not you.'
They want to prostitute your gifts to benefit from them but don't want to pay the price. Isn't this what we do in life? We give our hearts, minds, body, and ideas to people who don't want to pay the price. I started praying, "Lord you said, that you give us the power to create wealth.' He told me that I have given you dreams and visions (the power to create) but you have lowered your worth. What an eye opener! I have been given the power but the problem lied within me, I did things for people because I wanted to show them how valuable I am and how much of an asset I would be to them! Ladies, can I just tell you, at times I was trying to get them to choose me especially if the person whom I had helped was a man. That is a hard pill to swallow! How many times have you tried to help a man pay bills, help him get his business started, and in the end you were the one left empty and this applies the same to a man helping a woman.
You took your embroidered garments and covered them; and you set My oil and My incense before them. Also My food which I gave you--the pastry of fine flour, oil, and honey which I fed you--you set it before them, says, the Lord thy God. Men make payment to all prostitutes, but you made your payment to all your lovers, and hired them to come to you. You are opposite of a prostitute, in that you gave payment but no payment was given you, therefore you are the opposite.' Ezekiel 16
What does this mean? The dreams and visions that God gave you was designed to be a blessing to you, to create wealth for you while be a blessing to others. In the bible, God gave out talents and when he returns He wants a return on His investment. Are you afraid? Are you burying your dreams? Are you giving away your worth to others? If you are like me I have had to go back to the drawing board several times with my dreams. This is all part of the process. The time has come for us to buckle down and say to ourselves we are not going to keep starting and stopping but rather we are going to finish. No matter what it takes!
God give us the wisdom, creativity, ideas, and concepts to walk out our dreams. Lord, order our steps. The problem with many of us is that we despise the day of small beginnings. Don't worry about how long is it going to take just get started, don't stop, and the Lord tells us that we shall reap if we faint not. Lord, I pray for every dreamer both male and female, Lord increase our faith. We don't need money we need faith! Help us to walk by faith and not by sight. Yes, we may lose somethings or people along the way and yes, we may have to learn how to walk alone but I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor His seed begging bread! People may make fun of you, leave you, and hurt you but don't you dare stop DREAMING!
Lord, give us this day our daily bread.
Lord, we repent for prostituting our gifts, dreams and visions. Lord, we give our hearts back to you, not our will but your will be done. Lord, I pray for all of those who dare to believe that dreams do come true! Lord, remove every distraction, every person, every thing that would hinder them from moving forward. Lord, encourage their hearts this day, that their latter days shall be greater if they only believe that with You all things are possible.
Walk out your dreams! I dare YOU!
